COVELA Avesso Natur is our first Avesso that is not only certified as organic, but is also bottled without added sulfites. This is a wine that shows Covela's continued commitment to innovation and making the most of the potential of the Avesso grape variety, native to the granite soils on the banks of the Douro River where Covela is located. This is the farm's second certified organic wine, following the launch of Covela Avesso Reserva Biológico in 2019.

At COVELA Avesso Natur, the sulphites normally used to stabilize the wines were replaced by dried chestnut flower (Castanea sativa Mill.) harvested from Covela's chestnut trees and prepared by hand by our viticulture and oenology teams.
